A 12-year-old red-haired girl with freckles gets a task at school on the topic "My life as alphabet". She does not want to accept the fact that happiness is indicated by only one letter "H", and the other letters often correspond to certain accidents and sorrows. The heroine is determined to return happiness to her family and banish sadness: to reconcile her father with a rich uncle and make her mother smile again, who lost a newborn child three years ago. The boundless positivity of the red-haired dreamer embraces not only the relatives, but also a new friend "from another dimension", the same eccentric as herself, living in a world of illusions, and even an evil classmate who does not see anything good in the real world.
